First five months of this year had been fairly successful in terms of pulling silver dimes - 28 pulled including 2 Mercuries... the last of those was a 1962 Philly pulled on May 28th. Not surprisingly, all but three of those silvers were from CWR. Then came June... while I was pulling amazing stuff in Nickels and Quarters (and also a small cent hoard which I will post about later), the Dimes were not showing up at all... not a single silver pulled this month! So what happens in July? First bank I hit on Thursday (July 2nd) gives me 10 rolls of CWR and in one of the rolls - one weighing 114.40 grams - these two coins are placed right next to each other! Silver dime drought officially over!

Thanks again, Errers and jbuck... Well, Dimes continue their amazing July run for me. After a skunk batch of 10 MWR on Monday, Wednesday's similar purchase yielded two amazing keepers: a really nice clip on a 1966, and, most shockingly, a 1996-W!!! Needless to say, this is my first 1996-W found in the wild. It also happens to be the most valuable dime I've ever found doing this, so a DOUBLE milestone coin!

Thanks, igwt79, TomM, and Errers and Varietys!
If a clad coin is brand new looking and it's P-mint and 15 or more years old, or from the 1900s (regardless of mint), I tend to save them.. I saw the 1996 date first and noticed how nice the coin was... couldn't believe it when I removed the coin blocking my view and saw the mint mark... my exact words were "NO WAY!!!" when I saw the W. Got that one in a 2x2 real quick! The clip earned a 2x2 too...
