I wouldn't put a BU collection of anything in a Dansco. But on the other hand, it'll make all my coins more valuable since you'll be ruining yours!
In order of preference: 1. Change jar 2. old folders where you "push" in the coins 3. Dansco's, Whitmans, Littletons with the sliding plastic sleeves (they're all the same) 4. 2x2's 5. Air-tites/ Intercept Shield holders, etc. 6. In a complete vacuum.

They are not low quality coins - they are experienced pieces of history!
I put my Lincoln collection in a Dansco 7100 album. I have about the same as you except no 31-S yet. My coins range from brown lower grade coins (Good to Fine with the occasional VF and XF) for the teens and twentys to BU Red and Red/Brown starting in the 1930's.
The brown coins look very nice in the Dansco album, as do the nicer grades. Overall a great presentation.
Best regards, Ken

I use a Dansco, everything but a 09-S VDB, 14D and 22 no D and I think they look great. I use the 8100 which includes proof only issues. Do what you like and enjoy.

Well.......you can put a dried poodle dropping into a Dansco.... and it'll make it look good ! ...... .....actually.....I just think that it'll make any "collection" just look better. And sometimes "presentation" accounts for more "value" than it actually should ! ...

Hard to find those uncirculated, though.

DANSCO all the way. I'm working on my 2nd Lincoln set and just recently moved them to a new 09-58 DANSCO (I forget the album number), and they look great! I will even be cracking out a 14D and 09SVDB to fill in the slots once my budget allows.

Haven't been really collecting for very long, however, I do use Dansco's (have several going at the present). I recently came accross some old blue whitmans with some old lincolns (nothing really high quality). The coins have been in the whitmans for probably 30 years. There was a lot of corrosion and even some of the blue folder attached to the coins. I removed them and bought a dansco=poor quality coins in a great looking folder. My upgrades will look great there when I get around to them. I now use dansco's exclusively. Just my opinion.

I've taken a different direction. Many years ago (40+) I started buying Capital Plastics Holders. Their BVD (Bank Vault Drawer 8" x 14") series holders fit in my safe deposit box easily. Have had BU copper and silver in these holders all those years without any deterioration. I like the look of completed sets with multiple panels. The down side is that today they are very expensive.

I used to keep everything in Dansco's until I noticed some edge toniing on some of the silver BU/Proof coins over time. Now I keep everything in 2X2's inserted into 20 pocket pages in a binder. Not nearly as attractive but seems to have eliminated the tendency to tone around the edges.

Personally, I have moved to Dansco yrs ago and have been reasonably happy. My initial problem was with the plastic covers. Yes they can be replaced, but if you are upgrading coins or moving the sliding cover for any reason, they start to scratch/rub and diminish the ability to look thru them. The one that got me, though, was looking at coins I have bought at auction in Whitman folders and seeing the toning to corrosion developing on the edge of the coins. Yes, storage and time have taken their toll and maybe you can do things to abate this. However, I mentioned this to a darn good collector I know and he stated that he thinks the problem is that the cardboard holder works as a wick pulling moister out of the air and holding it at the point where condensation would develop, the area of temp change. You got it, the coin works as a heat sink (hope that is spelled correctly). If this is a fact, Only a completely dry environment will work. I am going the way BadThad has. Airtites then placed in a 2x2 album. Jim

Nice collection, Moe! I am a Dansco fan as well. I have been using them for just over twenty-five years now.
