Humbly agree with the VF consensus, I do. Could it be a 1918-S ... better yet, a 1918/7-S !? Fun lot at a reasonable price, this.

Quote: Theyre so sloppy, they ship $500 coins with junk in a bag?!?!?! They sure do. Here are several examples of $500 coins I've purchased from them that have come thrown together with 40 others in a "junk bag" that is always my biggest fear when I purchase these....how they will react jingling around with their roomates for the 1,000 mile + trip to my house

They probably have no idea what they are doing.

My question is, "where on earth do they get all of these unsearched coins?" I mean literally, hoard after hoard! And they keep coming! Will it ever end?

It is crazy isn't it? Every week they auction off 300-400 coins or more. The same thing with the Walking Liberty's. I seen them do a single coin auction last week for the first time....a 1924D SLQ in EF that went for a little over $200.
They must've bought some massive hoard of coins, literally 10,000 of them or more SLQ's. Their lots constantly have 1917-1920 coins with visible dates. Often conditions are only G-VG, but occasionally there is some great stuff.

I have bought from them before, the liberty halves and I always wondered the same thing. I bought from them a couple months ago and I find it amazing how many coins they have as everyday its the same coins and amounts

Tend to agree with the others on the cleaning ..... it's the only coin in the lot that stands out as 'bright'.
Looking forward to photos once you have it in hand.

I have two SLQ lots from them on the way.....and just rec'd another lot of their Walker halves for $127 - well below melt. The coin they labeled as unreadable was a 1917 D (obverse) with the 17 clearly visible in AG condition. Hole filler for now. I resell some, and silver stack some of what I get from them. For my SLQ collection - I'm only 7 coins from completion....and hoping I'll get lucky with a key date in a lot. You never know.
