Here is the amazing part ...... this great find by CND is a circulated coin ...... technical grade perhaps EF ..... however ....
This coin has passed through many hands between the time it left the mint and when it eventually ended up in the collection of a numismatist ..... sooooo ..
Keep on roll searching I say ...... you never know what the next coin will be in our treasure hunt passion.

I added a photo on the first page of the "railroad wheel" effect on the edge of the coin if anybody wants to take a look at that. Coop might want to add it to his educational files.

Very nice! A severe MAD, and the die being so far off caused it to hit the collar and press it down. That resulted in the partial collar on the opposite side

Nice Find CnD! about half of the bigger misaligned die nickels I've found are also partial collars. Only this one has as much design detail missing as cnds example.  -XoG
