CIScO: What's the comment "Quit spending our money on all your pork!!" mean? Are you talking about the pigs(politicians) in office? LeAnn

I think he means huge projects that we the taxpayers don't have any say in and for the most part NEED! Nothing to do with pigs at all just a term used quite frequently by politicians, especially during election years and activists who fight, so they claim, for the American taxpayer. Wonder who pays the activists? Also, through the years, I have found it amazing so many people could turn out on any given day for a protest (for free media advertising as the media wouldn't miss a good ole staged protest)regardless of what notion they were protesting. I thought to myself, "Don't these people have a job!" And then I found out MOST of them were on the job as they are PAID protestors! And the sad part is the whole stinking thing works! The media jumps on board and eventually a congressman or two and the next thing we know Congress has passed a bill to spend a few hundred thousand dollars for research on why kids fall off of tricycles!!! This would be pork in my eyes!!! And it really did happen a few years back and guess what, KIDS are still falling off of things everyday so its a darn good thing we taxpayers continue to fund such genius!!!

I don't think its "taxpayers continue to find such genius" but we don't have a choice because that's all there is in office or running for office is "genius" or idiots in my world. LeAnn

Let's give "The People" an actual choice this time--whatever you want. The federal reserve is the most criminal organisation on this planet. A dollar today couldn't buy what a cent did in 1913 when these pig-bags showed up.

The US Mint is the custodian for much of the USA gold reserves (Ft. Knox, Denver Mint, West Point). The Federal Reserve is a corporate-owned entity. Is this an underhanded way to fork over the nation's gold reserves to corporate interests ?
I don't like the sound of it.

No it's typical. Korporate Amerika is joined at the hip with Washington D.C After that the federal reserve will get their minions to do a gold recall. Then they can get everyone's gold in exchange for dog piles.
Ooooh, a new smile. Liberty and Justice for all

Helpppp meeeee, I've been whisked away to room 101 at the Ministry of Love. O'Brien is making me look at "8x10 color glossy photographs" of Alan Greenspan in a tank top and red, white and blue spandex shorts. "How many fingers am I holding up Winston?" "Four." "And if the party says it's not four but five--then how many?" Nineteen Eighty-Four George Orwell

Maybe we should ask forum mom to add another top-level forum called "Off the Deep End," as this thread certainly has gone in that direction.

We've had quite a few discussions that go "off the deep end"...seems I am an instigator of them a lot lately too - oops! I just asked a simple little question but, I love where you all have gone with it!!!!!!! Sandpaper: Unfortunately you are correct!
