Pictures are big red Xs now Grease can also combine with other machinery gunk such as metal shavings/dust to form a more solid material. This is most obvious on dropped letter/number errors where gunk fills part of the die and then falls out onto the next planchet, leaving an incused impression of a letter or number.

I still see them.

Our server was changed just under a month ago.
Some ISP's do not update as they should, therefore, those people that cannot see the pictures are most likely directed to the old server as opposed to the new server.

Must be my eyes. The area on the reverse looks raised.

It happened during the strike. Had to be soft enough to not flatten the rim on either side. But a struck through error of some type. I have a struck through coin through wire. You can see it on both faces of the coin through the rims and on the edge of the coin. I don't have images of it right now. Maybe I should re-take them?

I am glad coop posted that pic because it reveals a diagnostic for struck through cloth. Notice that you can see the woven fibers of the cloth perfectly impressed into the coin. I am not saying all struck through cloth errors will look like that but the vast majority of them will have a patterned impression.

It might be. I didn't remember who posted it. Post an image of your coin and I will added credit for the image.
A larger image would be nicer. It would show the detail of the cloth better.
