Here is what it 'should' look like.....

1$-1800-Real-Thing???

1$-1800-Real-Thing???

Everything about the coin that you picture is obviously wrong. It is not genuine, (despite what the seller 'confirms').

That piece of junk oozes fake. Stick with CERTIFIED coins that have been authenticated when buying high-priced and rare material.

I'd want to know what dealer authenticated this piece so I could stay FAR FAR away from him. He is either COMPLETELY clueless (In which case you might be able to cherrypick him) or his material is probably loaded with fakes (In which case maybe you DON'T want to cherrypick him.)

Yep they always put the price low for a real coin to attract some eager person but enough to make substantial money over time...

There should be a law against this type of activity. Especially when it's an obvious fake and being passed as an authentic or "real" coin.

There are laws against this, but they can't enforce them against the Chinese effectively.

Auction was canceled and seller apologized.Cool.Maybe he was just miss-leaded by so called *specialist*.Another option is that specialist doesn't exist-is just the cover for auction.Ill be watching this guy in case his going to relist this fake.

There are IF you can prove that he KNOWS it is a fake. If you can it then comes under the heading of fraud.
