only because of weather factors, I will only say twenty-six (26), but hope it's a lot more, even if it is to exercise that old tired body of yours from the up and down of climbing those Little hills. You need to come to NJ where there are some real MOUNTAINS.. They even get to ski here sometimes!!!
Berry

Hey Berry...I'll show you a spot in the Rockies where you can climb 3 14ers in one day - if you dare! tee hee Mountains in NJ are an Oxymoron! True Coloradans don't care much for "slat rats" anyway - just the tourist trade! The weather in the Rockies in August is absolutely marvelous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he's picked one of the best areas!

Fly fishing the high lakes is the only way to catch fish !!

My guess is 6 fish kept from a total of 19 fish caught.

Rick

I can see where you're coming from Metalman! Maybe it is almost downright criminal to fish the alpine lakes with anything other than a fly! That is a true artform which I hope to learn someday. I have a feeling that once tried, one never will go back to anything else! I just use an inexpensive Zebco 33 outfit with a common lure found at any Wal-mart!
I'd hoped to post a couple of pics of this beautiful spot, but am having some trouble getting my computer to recognize my digital camera, so it's off to the ebay computer board for help!

Well, I'll tell you snowman, almost all fish were in the only 12-13 inch range. But plenty big enough to have fun. Four to five years ago, there were a lot more in the 15-18 inch range. Don't know what happened to them.

So glad to hear that you had a successful fishing trip! Great job! It's either feast or famine in those high mountain lakes and you had a great feast! Congrats!

Don't want to take up too much space with non coin stuff, but I smoothed out the glitches with my camera/uploading to computer issue. Would like to share my favorite fishing lakes in Colorado. The pic labelled "middle" was the most productive lake on the trip; 36 trout.
