What is with the 2009? I mean, I know it is a low minted modern year, but I have this '39D and I also found a proof 1991 and a bunch of War Nickels. I'm somehow more excited to find a 2009. |

Wow, nice find! I'm at 2000+ rolls and I still haven't found mine. Get those keys early!

I've been through 150 or so rolls yesterday and today, I don't remember looking for 2009 - I guess I'll start. but I can't think of specifically seeing them, 2008s and 2010s. 4 War Nickels, 3 Liberty nickels so far on that stuff. |

I've searched 3500 rolls and have yet to find a 39D, so that's a really nice find so early in.
I've found a ton 2009's now, and expect you will too soon enough. Eventually you'll probably be glad to have that 39D over the 2009. ....but I hear what you're saying.

Super find! I've been through almost 19000 rolls and I have found only four of those. I have been finding a few 2009's, but it is the 2009d that is proving to be impossible.

Great find lexic ....... I'm happy for you. I have found one 1939-D in 5400 rolls searched ...... and it came somewhat early in my quest at 1480 rolls. I encourage you to join the nickel roll searching thread ...... share the usual updates and have some fun reading what others are coming up with.
