That's a good find. I've got a couple of large jars of 2006-P cents to look through for one of these. I hope my luck is as good as yours.

coppertop you can find the doubled die listing on either copper coin web site or Lincoln Cent resource's site it's a vary known doubled die date just like the 1984 doubled ear. Thanks for the congrats everyone else. Good luck on your finds. I'm still searchin for all the others also. I hope to find at least a 72 and a 95 DD

I usually look at all my change and keep the 2006 DD0-4 ear in mind to look for then read it was a chip and not being reconized anymore by TPG grading systems and being removed from DDO list .

Not sure if it was this one DD0-4 or another DD0 variation with what appeared to be a die chip lookinging close to the ddo-4 with a doubled ear .

LMK search and see if I can find what site posted it

I'm somewhat new to DDO and error coins so I wanted to ensure that I am looking at the part of the ear that is considered to be doubled.

I copied this thread's ear and stuck some blue arrows to mark the areas that I think are the doubled ones.

Please confirm that the area I marked are the ones considered to be doubled.

If I am missing any other area of the ear that should be considered doubled, please let me know.

Thanks

Is there any added premium to this coin because it's a DDO? It doesn't look major enough. I surely would've missed that if it were in a roll I was searching through. Then again I'm an amateur, so I'm sure I miss a lot of stuff.

I am sorry to be naive john1 but I really need a photo with an arrow pointing to the part in question.

If someone could just send me a URL with a picture showing exactly where this doubling(s) is(are) located, that would be great.

I am sure that both KisNap and I would benefit from this additional info.

Thanks in advance

indian1,

Does the one at http://cgi.ebay.com/2006P-1DO-018-L...em1c145cb7c5 appear to be the MDS 18 that you are referring to?

Also where are you getting those MDS and EDS numbers?

Please send me a link to a web page that has all of these types of numbers and associated pictures.

Thanks

Ron Does that effect the value? up/down it really makes no diff to me either way.But it's nice to know. mds vs eds? Also is a eds show more doubling or more dramatic doubling? seeing the die is not as worn. Thanks for replies everyone and feel free to add a grade to your post for me. I'm still learning also and like others opinions.

Look at the last photo in the first post, the closeup. Look at the earlobe and then go southwest- there is the secondary earlobe. Only the lobe is doubled not the whole ear.
