I was under the impression that "darkside" referred to world coins?

Basically, yes.

Dark side coins are from a country other than your own.

Gray side coins are from neighbouring countries, especially if they tend to co-circulate; as Canadian coins often do in the US.

LoL, so Greyside for Canada can be considered Barbados? I get way too many of their coins in my rolls.

Nice coin, don't care what anyone says!

Thanks JBuck, I always thought that "Darksiders" were Old World coins. I just thought someone reclassified the term again. Did not know about the Greysiders though. I'd have loved to have been at that meeting of Numismatists fighting over naming of the two terms. So Not!

For these modern issues, PCGS seems to have gotten it right. All of their 69's and 70's have blazing eye appeal and are flawless. My opinion: An NGC 70 may be mark free but they often fall short on eye appeal and strike. Some of the NGC 69's are downright awful.

At least that Log Cabin is Copper.
And it is a stunner.

The "$100.00" could've been put to MANY good uses

I just picked up 100 business strike "D" Lincoln Presidential dollars at the Denver Mint Gift Shop.

That's 100 portraits of Lincoln and over one and a half pounds of copper.

If I recall correctly, the terms are somehow related to white market, gray market, and black market. I would have to do some research to be certain, but I can see how the intention would relate (light, neutral, and dark).

I think these PCGS Registry Lincoln birthplace pennies really have some potential to skyrocket. There is one up for auction today and the bid is already up to $120.

One of the most beautiful and important modern issues I have ever seen; remarkable in hand with that Deep Cameo.

EDIT: Bid now at $130!

EDIT #2: Bid now at $190! Gotta love it. MANIA!
