Is it just me, or does it look very unattractive? I mean, I know attractive toning and I do not think that is it. Maybe it is just me.

Sulfuric acid from a hard boiled egg creates a similar patina, but that coin looks burnt, not treated.

Maybe you guys are being too harsh...did you miss where it said PERFECT MS70...you can get nothing better than this coin...plus, as a special bonus, it has the ultra-rare and highly-coveted one-sided toning to it. You can search for years and not find anything that will live up to this prized coin..it is perfect. Who could ask for more? :(

If you sent it in to PCGS, I bet instead of getting MS70+ or MS70â˜., it will get MS70☠

so why did this sell for $37. What did the 'winner' see that we didn't?

Good question weavus. I think it looks hideous.

Maybe they thought that's what burn-ish looks like?

would someone buy at that price on speculation of silver pricing? I'm just a small time collector. I don't buy these things (although I did put a bid of $3.99 for it LOL)so I don't think I get that completely

Sad thing is his feedback isn't that bad. Bad enough It would keep me from buying but what that tells me is he is selling to the people that have no clue.

so does it worry anyone when you see things like 'bidders identity hidden' or whatever the message is on ebay when the seller doesn't want you to see who is bidding even after the auction is over. to me that point s to shill bidders but maybe I'm paranoid
