Hey there,
I started collecting Newfoundland coins a few years ago and took a break. I attended a coin show this past Sunday and I have the bug again. I'm interested in learning how to grade coins so I can put together an accurate description of the coins in my collection without paying someone else to do it. Is there a specific thread where I can post pics to get grading opinions? Thank you!

Yes, post your NFLD coins photos for grading in the Canadian coin grading section.

My latest NFLD acquisition.: 1880 Oval 0, PCGS AU-53.

A tough, tough coin in better grades. In the PCGS population reports, there are only known in mint state condition, and only two higher than this one at AU-55. This one is tied with two others in this grade. Thanks to CCF member TheCoinHunter for getting this one to my hands...

Really nice SPP. It's a shame that PCGS can't photograph coins very well. I bet it looks great with the right lighting. Here's my best for the oval 0 variety.

Hello

I have this 50 cents 1881 which has the letters "N" and "O" stamped under the effigy.

I did a lot of research and I did not find any information.

Do you know the meaning of these letters?

Thank you in advance

This is the only 1873 20 in "Mint-state" that I've ever seen.
