Yeah, but stick to your guns. He put it into the auction so you are entitled to it.
"BONUS: Only by reading this information, I will add an UNC 2008 Silver Bald Eagle and pay shipping with signature delivery."
What does that even mean?

I left a negative feedback once in a situation such as this where the seller did not deliver the "bonus item". It's not that I cared about receiving the bonus, but this sellers ethics. I gave him a fair amount of time to answer my cordial emails which he never did. I left him negative feedback and he was livid! Oh well.
Just make sure to try to work it out cordially stating the fact, and you should be fine. If not, negative feed, and file with ebay.

Seems like he would have more negatives if he was doing shady things like this.

I agree with others, you should get the Unc bald eagle. But also should use the negative as a last
resort. Just because it could somehow come back to you.

If it helps in your decision I have one of those sets I could let you have at a much better deal.

He knows you read it or you wouldn't know about it....and I wouldn't put "not as described", I would say item not received and that you want the item when you get to the complaint filing. You can always note that you got part of the shipment.

If he does not respond to your inquiry, negative feedback is certainly warranted.

I would message him and tell him he will receive negative if he doesn't respond...

Don't do that!

ebay views that as blackmail, and you'll lose out entirely.

Just give him a reasonable time to send the rest of the lot you bid on, and if he doesn't, neg him.

I would wait 4 days for him to respond. Then I would open up a case with ebay. He will respond to ebay and they can mediate for you. I would still probaly leave neutral feedback if it takes ebay to force him to send the other coin. No coin I would leave negative feedback.

I just got a response from him saying that he mailed it first class yesterday! If all goes as he says, I will be leaving a positive. Thank you all for your input!

I'll add some advice here.

First, never include the word "feedback" in an ebay message to a seller. That at the minimum borders on "feedback extortion" if it isn't actual extortion. It's a policy violation at ebay and will get you in more trouble than the seller.

My next point:

I would say "Not as described," not "Item not received."

Two reasons for this. First, no matter what, the item in question is "not as described" no matter what you got. If you got a 2006 3 coin proof set, it's not what the heading described ("2008 Bald Eagle 3 coin Commemorative Proof Set") and if you received a 2008 3 coin proof set, it's not what the body of the description said you were buying ("2006 Bald Eagle Commenorative 3 coin program.") plus you never got the "BONUS: Only by reading this information, I will add an UNC 2008 Silver Bald Eagle and pay shipping with signature delivery."

Also, it has to do with the way ebay "Seller Protection" (such as it is) works. If a buyer makes a claim of "Item Not Received" and the total PayPal payment (item plus shipping) is $250 or over, all the seller has to do to "prove" that you received your widget(s) is provide an online confirmation of signature at the address PayPal gave as "OK to ship." That's it. It doesn't matter who signed for it.

So if the OP here claims "Item Not Received," he will lose that claim.

What you have is a solid "Not as described" dispute. I would use the words, "What I received was not what you described in your listing," in my (hopefully first and only) ebay message to the seller for this kind of situation.

Good luck OP.

i dont know that I would neg anyon that didnt deliver the bonus coin, th bonus is not what you were bidding on unless I am mistaken, that was something he offered into the deal, I see that it became expected, the guy shouldnt have to "learn a lesson" for including something for free. just my opinion

If the bonus was listed, other bidders were taking its value into consideration, so you have to as well.

Even if it was not the primary item, there's no way I would allow the seller to "forget" to send me $40 worth of promised merchandise.

Love a happy ending. It is always important to give an individual time to make something right (the way youn did). Many unexpected things can happen that can cause a seller to be away from his or her auctions for a period of time. Sickness of self or family mmember, death in the family, etc. I would generally give someone between 5 and 7 days before assuming they were ignoring me.
