I have been scrutinising the 1886 "U" coin and have seen a few places where the stalks of the reverse side are visible on the obverse. I am without a way to photograph this weird coin, but am making progress in getting the camera I need and the lighting I want. Anyway, give me a week, and I'll deliver pics of this "U" coin. Remember, I am just getting started. This will be the first attempt at photographing this small old coin for viewing here.

I have finally gotten ahold of a digital camera with macro. I understand that is the best way to photograph these small coins. Wish me luck and check back in on Friday, the photos should be up, barring any complications. And thank you everyone, for making me feel welcome here in this forum.

Could someone give me a suggestion as to how to get the "browse" window to come up after I click on ADD IMAGE?

Well, I am trying but keep getting a note saying the reason Ican't upload is most likely because the site is under maintainance. I will try later guys.

Welcome to the forum!
On the left hand side of the page there is a red box "Tutorials". Just under that click on Uploading Photos and see if there is something in there that can help you. I know I've referred to it on a couple occasions and it helped me get the pictures to post.

Well, coin community forum, I have done what I could do, but there is an HTTP Error on tis website, preventing me from uploading my pics. If anyone is interested, you can see my coins on my FB site. Just find Tony Lewis. Wait, is it possible to put my coin photos on my emails, as attachments? Right? Hey, folks, anyone really interested in seeing these coins, email me at tjlbaldy@hotmail.com and I will attach pics to my replies. I don't know how to do this otherwise.

The best way is through photobucket.com and then post in the forum with the img tag link. To me is the easiest way.

I am going to try, once more, to add images of my coin. I failed. Something is wrong. I get a massage saying this site's server failed to upload. Sooooo.

Hi Tony, For me the critical rules for getting pictures to post are: 1) Image files must be .jpg format. 2) Image file size must be 100 kb or less. If necessary use your digital imaging software to "resize" your photos to smaller size. In Photoshop Elements you can choose to reduce your image size to a selected percentage of the original size; I use this feature all the time. 3) Make sure the image file name contains only letters and numbers (no $, %, (, or any other odd characters). Also, you can't have any spaces or underscores in the file name.
Use the green camera "Add Image" icon near the bottom of the posting window to attach your file. It should work!
