I don't roll search, but it's been ages since I've found an Indian head in circulation.

My wife found one in her change a few months ago and gave it to me. I'm glad she recognized it!

I also found a 1907 once- only one I ever found. That one is worth about $3- it's in nice shape for it's age, solid VG, maybe F

Great find and really nice condition too. I found one about 6 months ago, but before that it had been 30+ years since I'd found one.

I guess I'll be a buzzkill and say what's on my mind: how is searching 30,000 pennies worth it to find one coin you could have bought for $2 at any coin shop?

Thrill of the hunt Matt! Plus, the hoard of other coins you find along the way. Everyone has different reasons for searching. I have quite a few coins in mind while searching a box and seldom come away with at least a roll of pennies that I keep, if not more. That doesn't include the copper pennies I set aside.

Finding a coin like this in my opinion is much better than just going to the store and buying it. The journey of searching for it is the fun part, and yes as mentioned, the countless other valubles you find along the way are just as much fun to find too, heck I've almost filled two rolls already with wheat cents. Had I just bought it, it wouldn't really be worth anything to me as that would be taking the easy way out.

Yeah that is a great find. IHC are not that common in circulation. I have searched 80,000+ cents and still no IHC. Well done on your find!
