I agree with you that ebay can be a great place to land some really nice raw coins if you do your homework and especially if you look for some kind of screw up in their listing title. It's amazing to me how some people list their items in a messed up fashion.

Way to go on turning the raw Buffs into slabbed keys.

Sigh...two more Buffs that have been herded into another collection (other than mine). NICE!

I had missed the first request for pricing. The 3-leg is hard to determine because I bought it as part of a large collection that was being liquidated. The 8/7-D was $1,064 give or take shipping. I came close to tripling my money (if I were to ever sell it) on that one. The seller had a BIN of $3,500 on it but a $999 to open. I just bid $100 over the opener in the last few seconds and I suppose other bidders were scared off because it was RAW. It did have a seven day return on it, so I went by "nothing ventured - nothing gained" and it paid off..

Nice 18/7-D! I got mine on ebay for $512 out the door, sent to PCGS now in a VG10 holder!

Congratulations on the slabbing of your two nickels. They are very nice examples and I compliment you on your good eye for catching them among the prolific amount of coins to review on ebay!
