For $35 I think you did awesome! I would have jumped on $40 as well. looks like all your other buys were great too! Boy do I love the 96 w coin. that is the one in my dansco 7070 for the modern Roosevelt dime.

Great Call Canadian! I was kinda stoked about it, $35 was my final offer, I started bidding at $25. Their was a MS-68FB I had $45 on just in case,But I knew that wasn't going to play out. I really didn't think this one would either. I figured $40 - $50 range. The only thing that I'm second guessing isInstead of putting up multiple $11 bids, Should I of took $88(Bidwise) or the $67(Actual Price) and just of got the best coin I could get.

yeah I did start that thread. I used to check ebay often for them. I too forgot about that dime until the thread was brought alive again, and now this thread. I think I will search for more!

Murrellington Thats the perfect spot for it! I have been wanting one, for sometime now. I just never could seem to pull the trigger. I kept seeing the prices and for some reason, I'd dissociate the value and pass. I'd love to been a collector back in 96 I would def. have 10 to 20 sitting in my Fire Safe FC. I think the mintage is so low on these, my kids kids could benefit from the couple bucks now.lol I forgot to mention the 2 raw I've gotten so far, Aren't that bad. I'll take some pics tomorrow. Thanks guys for all your kind words. Its so (I can't think of a word to express how great it is) to be able to share with everyone here on CCF. It truly an excellent forum with even more excellent members.

Yeah I can't say if these dimes will be valuable in the future or not, but they are awesome collector coins with a low mintage. it is very unique to have the w mint mark and that's what I love. it is something different. although they are a low mintage, they were not released for circulation, so pretty much all of them are in great condition. that's why they are still relatively cheap to buy. regardelss of their potential future value, I love these coins.
and i'd have to agree, CCF is awesome and it's fun to share experiences and coins on here. especially if you have no one close in real life to share with who collects coins.

Thanks MacMercury, I didn't expect to win the slabbed 1, or the full P&D mint set w/ W. A cool thing happened, When I started searching for lots to bid on. I came across, A seller from Naples FL. selling 96W's. I have some family in Naples. My Grand Father, "God Bless Him" was a fixture on the Naples Pier. He would sit down their every morning drinking his coffee, reading the paper, and talk with friends. When ever I'd visit. I'd never go to his house first, always to the pier When he died the Governor, or committee approved a memorial to be placed on the pier. So theirs a plaque and bench in his memory. He was also a collector. Some coins but mostly stamps.

Thanks Hambone, I like the name! I picked up on you first post. That would of really kicked asskkk...somebody lol, Hope My reply didn't come across wrong either, I was saying I wish I could pick it up for $15. I'm going to pick up a few here and their. IMO these are sure to be winners. I figure the supply of 145,700 is sure to leave a good amount of collectors wanting these. I love em! I think their the perfect addition to the Roose's. Now if they could think of something just as good for another issue I'd really be happy. I don't have a Dansco yet for Roosevelt's. But I think I'm going with Murr. and using a 7070 to house one of these bad boys.
