It's been a big year for silver from the U.S. Mint... 5 oz. on this, 25 oz. for the ATB pucks, 1 oz. for the proof ASE, 1 oz. for the uncirc ASE. That's 32 oz. of silver (not including the silver proof sets) and I'm probably missing some.

Regardless, I'll definitely be in for this one. The 20th set is awesome and I imagine this will be even better, with 3 more ounces. :) Save those pennies! (Well, the ones you're not hoarding, anyway) ;)

I wonder if this new set will pull up the price of the first 06 set. New collectors or buyers learning about the latest set might go looking to see if theirs any others. And /Or collectors who didn't buy the 06 set but buy this latest one, might give them enough ummfff to go after the 06.

This will be the first time the mint will sell a bullion coin directly to the public. The big question for this set is will the uncirculated San Francisco have a mint mark.

Okay - missed the boat on these beauties . . . what's the word then on the possibility of a future set like this being offered? I finally subscribed to the Mint newsletter, but it looks like I'd need to check this site more often than in the past!

Here is my "poor man's version" of the 25th ASE - copper rounds w/holders in Anniversary box! What are some thoughts on this? Paid less than $40 for box & coins - but still looks pretty decent, I think.

The Mint set sold @ $300 + s/h . . . try getting one now UNDER $700 (less than six months after issue) - I dare ya.

Here's my not-so-poor-man's "5-W" 2011 ASE's Set (three Proofs, two Unc.) in one of my extra A25 OGP boxes:

I love your copper round set, zookr!
What a sharp-looking set for less than $40 total.

Here is re-image, my photobucket is nutso sometimes . . . .

US-Mint-Announces-To-Issue-Ae-25th-Anniversary-Silver-Set

- these all sell on ebay @ a couple bucks a pop . . .
as you can see here, the St. Gaudens, Morgan, American Eagle and Indian Head/Buffalo look nicely together.
Wondering if they'd maybe re-sell @ $60 the set on ebay? LOL Just a thought . . . .

BTW, I did finally pick up the '06 (graded) ASE 20th Ann. 3-coin set
- although I do much prefer the mint boxes w/them, all in all.

(The 1st unc. AE that I'd ever gotten for my set too, in there - as I
really do them only in proof - much more stunning that way)
