I was going to say exactly what was already said, the pictures are a little small to be grading from (but I would say in the MS-64 range) and they are way to small to attribute ant specific VAM from

Wowser. That's a 66 with a point taken off for a poor strike. Great coin.

Thanks Dave, I agree. If it were not for the poor strike this coin would be a beauty.well, its still a beauty but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to coins I keep in my collection. at least so much as I can afford to be.

You must be a perfectionist, if you're letting go of that beautiful Carson City Spitting Eagle. That coin should see $250, by the way.

Thanks everyone for your opioion's and efforts, I have been collecting coins for along time but Morgans are still alittle new and certified I know nothing about. the coin was Graded by PCI at MS-64. I believe I am conservative in my Grading could be wrong I see the nice strike But would not personally Grade higher Than MS-63 And I might Go with MS-62 w Strong Strike. Off course as with All the Morgans I have ever seen The reverse Is much Better I would say Maybe MS-65

Jim, The 1902-O in general, was known for being one of the poorest struck Morgans to come out of the New Orleans mint."O" coins can be hard to grade anyway and the 02 is one of the hardest. My MS65 1902-O looks like it was handled for a couple years, looking at strike only. In the one you have here,I can see some marks just below the eye and lower on the chin, that would bother me as far as grade. As far as the strike, from what I can tell, looks better than most for that year. The fields look good thou. My guess from these pics would be MS62 possible 63.

Yep, I couldn't do much for them.Pics are just to small, but I could make out a little more detail.I can make out some feather marks on the breast now and also some contact marks just under the eye. Terry
