ageka, best as I can tell from my limited Deutsch, these are all solid gold commemorative coins. Are these considered good investments given their limited mintage? The Tour De France coin is the only auction which has progressed enough for me to get a feel for how far it will go, but it appears it will end way over bullion. Are these popular coins in Europe? They certainly are gorgeous.

This is a strange coin series this Tour de France
All these coins (20 Euro) are french half ounce proofs made by Monnaie de Paris
with certificate and box and hardboard cover over the box
with original limits of 5000 they did not even reach
They only seem available on the German
ebay and not the French
( I watch Belgium, Holland, France , Germany,Italy , Spain ,Austria
and occasionally UK because they are not Euro )
So it seems originally Monnaie de Paris could not sell the 5000 and stopped somewhere around 2000 and all coins were bought by Germans
Especially the five or so Tour de France coins are still widely available from the German
ebayI am sure they are now selling below the original retail issue price
( I am told dealers got a 20% reduction on pre issue prices )
The finish is superb (like my avatar three different kind of finish
sandblasted, polished and kind of grated )
If you want one and can afford it go for the one ounce 50 Euro coin
They go for a lot closer to gold price then the half ounces
They seem only popular in Germany for the moment
