I am here at a place called " Outhouse on the hill, Ottawa.
I am surrounded by reporters and we have been promised a rare look at the endangered 1921 Canadian 50 cent piece, in this small room I feel overcome with the odour of something foul when, the lights dim and a spotlight lights up the elusive creature we have come to see. The half dollar looks shy and somewhat timid in the light, slim and striking he poses for the cameras. In 1921 he was one of only 206,398 and now with less than a reputed 200 left in existence many of you reading this story may never actually see one.
And there you have it, a very rare sighting indeed.
