On the Coins and Canada coin catalogue that I got from the library, page 84 for the 1 DOLLAR SILVER section, under the 1935 silver dollar, there's something strange: Price for EF-40 is 45.00$ Price for AU 50 is 40.00$ Is this possible or improbable? bibd Pillar of the Community Canada 838 Posts	Posted 12/29/2011 10:20 pm I don't listen to most coin price guides. They are a disaster. (And to think, some people live by them...) On the other hand, I have occasionally wondered if lower grade-scarce coins might command a slight premium. For instance, I'd pay at least 2 cents for an Elizabeth 1 cent in G-4 (just to see what one looks like ), but just 1 cent for the same coin in EF-40.
