Hi all, just wanted to share this nice key date sixpence that I managed to pick up for only $5.

Please feel free to give a grading opinion, to my untrained eye it looks like a VG-8?

I would grade this at a/Good , Nice hole filler.
The blue sheet lists this as fine at $18.
I think you got exactly what you paid for it

Good pick for $5. Unfortunately a low grade but at least you've got it. VG is spot on I think.

Trout, are you sure you are not grading too harshly? a/Good is a really low grade where much of the legend is worn away. I reckon the coin is aVG.
