This coin is so worn that I did not know if it was attributable but I think I may have a match. What do you all think? The wildwinds link is below. The coin that I think is a match is the first thumbnail.

Sometimes we get lucky. In this case the number of rulers from this general period that had a Consecration coin was very small (2) and Victorinus is both rare and did not use an altar reverse so any altar is a Claudius II. If this were any of a hundred other reverses, it would not be so easy to narrow down.

Yeah, I got reminded of Claudius II as well when I saw the radiate bust and the altar on the reverse.

Thanks guys!

I think that it is wonderful that 1,700 year old coin can attributed with no legend and worn details. I have always liked the patina on this coin; it is very nice green that looks great in hand. Knowing what it is makes me appreciate it just that much more!
