Nice details on this one!
On the reverse, am I reading APOLLONIDEO?
It's probably easy, but I'm stumped....

Have no idea where its from. But my best guess its colonial not from main Greek land. I know that
there are coins from Psidia with Hercules and Thunderbolt.

Lydia, Apollonis 2nd-1st c. BC

DVC you were right close....it reads APOLLΩ NIDEΩN. That last N is hard to see on this coin.

Seller had the inscription like you had it but luckily had the Sear #4688 with it, which gave me the right leads. It was kind of hard to find other examples on the web.

Wildwinds won't find this coin from the inscription.I don't know why. But there is a link to Wildwinds under google search for Lydia, Apollonis.......?

Psidia and Lydia are pretty close to each other and both, as you say are not in mainland Greece but in Asia Minor.

Yes--it's hard to find the right coin w/o knowing Apollonis first--I see it now.
