Here is an auction for a claimed 1864 small motto 2 Cent piece check out the pictures and tell me its a small motto.

I photoshopped his picture and this was the best I could come up with

The motto is worn completely off and the other diagnostics are to worn to confirm its what he says it is. My guess is its a large motto. I have e-mailed and asked what his return policy is. If he does take returns I my just buy it to make sure. There is no way anyone could tell from the pictures posted.

I don't think it is. I don't have my book about 2 Cents with me, but I remember that there is something about the left side of the shield (not sure that it is called) that should come to more of a point rather than rounded. It is very worn and hard to tell.
