I would prefer it non colored, oh well I didn't buy it, maybe down the road sometime if price is right.... A cool display case which counts for a decent chunk of that large premium no doubt like the star wars sets. Fat Freddy Pillar of the Community United States 1200 Posts	Posted 10/15/2012 12:52 pm The profit margin on that set (and most especially on the fancy case) are a marketing exec's #1 lifetime wildest fantasy dream come true... 4 oz of silver for $350? The set and the case are nifty, but I think that price just plain hurts way too much for the average Joe's PM budget. It might be an OK retirement present for a retiring career Navy guy who spent 20+ years crawling around inside submarines, but I don't think it's going to be a go for us more typical types. I've looked enviously @ that silver Millenium Falcon too, but the price again fences me out. It'd be more on my level if they made one of those in copper or pewter. Report this Post to the Staff

I would go get a way cool 10 oz rare old silver bar for 400 or less now perhaps, back down to the 350 an 300 range verses four oz. of collector silver..... Its a little high, but its not that much higher then they sold for from the mint. The pert and new zeland mints make some fantastic coins, but most have a high premium. When I look at these heavily overpriced (around 3 times spot) fancy things, I have to compare them to "sensibly priced" things like common year ASEs, CSMs, Phils and Libertads - all of which have a premium of $2.10 to $2.60 per oz. I even have a local dealer who does more modest premiums than those. My budget mandates keeping my PM game-playing on a boringly "sensible shoes" level. If I ever win a $200 mil Powerball pot, it'll be time for a dump truck full of Silver Brittania, Silver Panda, Gold Buffalo and Gold Panda monster boxes but until then, I guess I'll be here in Ho-Hum City...... There more of a numismatic item which will get priced much differently. That said I do wish the perth and new zeland mints would bring the price on these types down, they make a ton of great coins but the price of them means Ill only dabble in sets I find extra special or have a connection too Im with you though no monster boxes here at the current silver price.
