I collect coins, but yesterday when I was in the bank, a teller I know asked if I was interested in bills? Intrigued, I said sure. She pulled out over $1000 in silver certificates ($5's, $10's and $20's). An older gentleman said he had been saving them in his home for years and deposited them because he did not want them in the house anymore.
I bought $70 worth, all 1934 series. The rest were all 1950 and 1963 series. All the bills were the green seals, and all were in various states of circulation.
Do these common silver certificates have any collector's value? The teller said she would hold them for me if I want them. Any help is appreciated.
