I collect coins, but yesterday when I was in the bank, a teller I know asked if I was interested in bills? Intrigued, I said sure. She pulled out over $1000 in silver certificates ($5's, $10's and $20's). An older gentleman said he had been saving them in his home for years and deposited them because he did not want them in the house anymore.

I bought $70 worth, all 1934 series. The rest were all 1950 and 1963 series. All the bills were the green seals, and all were in various states of circulation.

Do these common silver certificates have any collector's value? The teller said she would hold them for me if I want them. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Americanamafia. The oldest bills were 1934, so no gold certificates.

If you have the money to purchase all of them at face value, you should pick them up ASAP as there is no way you will lose out on this...
