Coin Grading - Where To Find Images Of Top Grade Coins

Pertinax Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2135 Posts	Posted 11/13/2012 7:03 pm One of the difficult things to do is to grade coins of types that one hasn't previously seen. If you can't see an image of a top grade coin, it can be difficult to decide how much wear it has. I seem to remember seeing an authoritative site with high resolution photos of top grade world coins, but I can't remember where it is. The NGC coin guide is useful but doesn't show photos of many coins, they're low resolution, and frequently they're of worn coins. Can you tell me of such a site please ? You have to register, but it's free, and they've the largest database of high-resolution, high-grade coins anywhere. US coins are better-represented, but their archive still embraces over 100,000 World coins. Report this Post to the Staff

basebal21 Bedrock of the Community 13014 Posts	Posted 12/31/2012 8:14 pm Most of the large sellers like a david lawerence and heritage will have top graded coins for sale from varying series at any given times. Just browsing around sites like that and even ebay too you can see a lot of really high graded coins Report this Post to the Staff
