Wasn't sure which forum to stick this so I put it here. A friend of mine brought this back from Poland. It was so small for a modern coin I had to take a pic of it next to a U.S. cent and share with all here.

Isn't that about the same size as a Euro?

Good looking coin, not much smaller than a cent. How is the weight compared to the cent?

Not sure of the weight as I don't have a scale at home but it's about 2/3 the size of a cent and it's actually closer to a silver Three Cent piece in size.

and yes I'm chuckling of the gross joke. good one avery

LoL, I just got one of those in a roll of pennies about two weeks ago.

The other side of the coin is much nicer.

Spain and the Netherlands used to have really small coins like that, too. (Before the Euro)

No the Euro is considerably larger, about the size of a Sac dollar.

The mexican 5 cent is very small. Can someone compare this to us penny?

Chinese old (1999 to 2001) one Jiao (10 cent or one dime) is aluminium coin and sightly small than us penny. You almost don't feel it on your hand. It might be the reason it was changed to steel coin, my guess.
