Hello. I find on auction this half dollar, seller told me that weight and diameter is correct, alignment too. What do you think about this coin? Photos isn't too good, but maybe you find something:) Auction end at 09.03.2013, so please tell me what do you think about this coin. If its genuine, what price will be good? You think that 70$ will be good price? Date looks suspicious to me,is like a vertically stretched but this may be the fault of photo. I don't know what to do:)

Definitely do not like the bad rim hit above Liberty's cap. It almost looks like it may have bent the coin. That alone would prevent me from buying it... I also think it would grade more XF details than AU... too much hair wear

Looks to be genuine to me but seems to have been cleaned and it does look like it has been bent above Liberty's head. Whether the coin is worth it, that is up to you. I personally would not spend too much money on a damaged coin.

The 1833 looks genuine. It also has a small rim bump that you pointed out, no biggie. I think this one grades EF-40 details as it does look like it has been cleaned. It's probably worth something in the $135-145 range.

What is going on with this thread? Why were the pics replaced by a damaged Seated Half coin? And why it doesn't show that the post was edited? .

I don't know something looks a little bit off in my opinion. Check out liberty's eye and compare it to a 1835 slabbed example, does it look a little more round than it should. Perhaps my own eyes are just playing tricks on me.

I think first pics are whole vertically stretched,so the eye appears to be more rounded. In my opinion on the following pictures eye is in good form:) I saw on ebay prices of XF40 and it's about 70-220$, so my maximum will be 50$. I'm afraid of this possible bent, but if coin will be ok,this may be a good deal. you think it will be a good move? I have new pics, unfortunately low quality... Thank you all for help.

These new photos are too out of focus to be of any help. I think you had the camera too close to the coin when you took the photo.
