If you decide to sell them you should try to sell some of them here on CCF.

One more quick question. My local coin shop offered me 50 cents each for Indian cents is this fair. I have rolls of these also, probably about 700 cents total 1880s-1909 circulated condition. I don't think any of them have "liberty" visible. ed

I wouldn't sell them for 50 cents each. Check to make sure none of the 1908 or 1909 have an s on the back. Try putting them on eBay or on here if you really want to sell them.

Did you ever find out if you had a roll of 1924s, 1922s, 1931s, etc?

The lower dates are 1917, 19 x2, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 34, 35, 36, 37 x 2, 38, 39. I haven't opened them yet so I don't know if they are all plain or some D and S also. What is a fair price to ask for the Indian cents 75 cents each, $1 each? ed

If they are all after 1880, then I would say $1.50 or $2.00 a piece. If they are before, or if you have dates such as 1909, 1908 or 1909 s mints, then it will obviously be higher. I have saw several examples of 5 Indian Head cents after 1880 common dates selling for around $10, sometimes a little over. You might try putting them on here first.

Bulk selling/buying is around $1/ea for common date (around G to VG) & no hole/bent/corroded.....
I have seen many dealers selling tube of 50 for $50 to $60 so I don't think your coin shop will pay you more than 75cents/each.

You can obviously get better price if you do the selling yourself, just remember that eBay & PayPal fees add up to around 15%.

Have fun.

You have to account for shipping and paypal/eBay fees, but still, you will make more than $1 a piece.

Total: $12.00
Shipping: $2.24
Fees: $1.73

Profit: $8.03

I probably overshot on shipping because I calculated it going to Washington. The total comes to $1.61 each. If you do this, then you will make more money. I agree that if you sell in bulk by the roll, you will probably only make about $50 or $60. I wouldn't sell them to the coin shop, sell them on this forum or on eBay. You will make more money doing it this way.

I have around 2000+ or so IHC in the range of G to VF (from around 1880s to 1908 - common date) but haven't find a feasible method to sell them yet..... I'm more than happy to net $1/ea for them. It's not easy to sell in such large quantities.

You should probably check the 1955 rolls for double dies and the 1943 roll for the famous copper 1943. It would be a long shot, but if you sold it and someone found one you would be sick.
