Metalman Pillar of the Community United States 7123 Posts	Posted 05/06/2007 02:55 am I agree that the pics are tough to grade from ,But I think the coin is AU-55, the reverse is the giveaway , full pillars and triangle above the door, along with some steps . The cheek and hair show what looks like very slight wear . having said that , This coin may have been cleaned some time in the past and has retoned . Metalman Report this Post to the Staff

I have studied this coin for a few days and picked up a few others in higher quality - this coin is supposed to be an UNC, but I agree it looks more like an AU55. DoubleDie Valued Member United States 214 Posts	Posted 05/09/2007 10:29 pm Jefferson nickels can have weakly struck hair and this may be an example. The reverse is MS and I don't see any wear on Jefferson's cheek bone to go along with supposed wear on the hair. I'm guessing the coin is MS, but I need a better pic of the obverse.
