A friend made me an end table to my drawings. It includes a glass top under which I display some coins from my collection: http://zarzycki.org/jurek/coin_col/...table_sm.jpgSeparately I made a picture from to show off the left over money I had from my various travels. To me the most significant is the 50 zloty Polish banknote in the lower left corner, the very one that was in my pocket when I escaped communism in 1972. Also kind of interesting is the $50 banknote from Singapore, with a trasparent window and a hologram. I've never seen anything like that elsewhere: http://zarzycki.org/jurek/coin_col/...frame_sm.jpg

I really like that end table. Knowing me, though, I'd leave my coins on the top, and when I go to grab them later, I'll have trouble telling which ones are on top of the glass, and which ones are under it. lol
As for banknotes with transparent windows, the Australian polymer banknotes have a transparent window, and I also hear that Sri Lanka does as well.

OHH. My my. I don't know what to say. My mouth is open in disbelief. This is a real toilet bowl right? That's um... very creative. Very original. How was that made?

My wife will not tell me where she got it so I can't answer that one. I Suspect she thinks I will replace all the seats in the house.

I think that's the most expensive throne cover I have seen!!! Not only do we now know "who" owns the '59 Jefferson, we know "where" it is as well. Tell your wife that is just fantastic.

Search ebay for: "Toilet seat coin", and you'll see some very overpriced examples, some even have notes. I remember seeing one of all Lincoln cents, another with a Peace dollar dead center on the lid, another with an Ike in that same position, etc. And before you ask, no I don't own one, nor do I know anyone who does.

Wow, you guys have some awesome furniture. I especially like the end table and toilet bowl. I also have a frame with money similar to the one posted here.

That toilet seat rocks! I've seen one with gold coins in it, but only on a photograph. It would not be hard to make with poured resin. Harder with injection molding, especially in low volume.

That table is mounted on a lazy-susan as well. I love it. I gave the guy a computer for making it to my design and he thought that he made a big bargain. Today that computer is long obsolete and gone and my kids will still be using that table in 50 years!

I've made pen holders, letter openers, paper weights with liquid plastic and coins but they can't compare with the toilet seat. Now I'm inspired to try to make something out of coins to compare with that but don't think I can.
