I have a Glass Bumble bee coin that I received direct from the mint that
has the glass bee glued in the wrong spot. You can see the slight indent of silver wear it was supposed to be glued. There's not a drop of glue were it should be. Curious if there's any other examples of this in any of the glass series and what kind of value this kind of error might command?

Woa. Very interesting. Is the capsule still tight or loose?

I saw some dirty spot on the coin background. Don't know if due to image quality or there is dust on the coin

The "dirt" is actually the glue splattered all over it. The coin capsule is sealed tight.

I'm not sure what type of adhesive they are using, but I'm guessing it's some sort of two-part epoxy. IMO it looks like they didn't mix the two adhesives properly, or at all, which caused it to not cure and remain runny. I could be wrong...

That looks more like a Post-Mint job, I really don't see the Mint letting that go through.

IMHO the value would have dropped because it looks purposely done to fetch an error premium!

I would agree with you Coin_Games except for the fact that you can clearly see that the bumble bee was never glued in the right spot. The glue is everywhere but the little silver oval spot where the colored petal of the flower is cut off

My first opinion is thet the coin and holder were dropped causing the bond to break between the coin and the bee.
Any takers on my theory?
briojd, I am not suggesting that you dropped it as it could have happened at the mint or via shipping.
Just my opinion

Just my thoughts.. Either way error by the mint or after - I would pass on it, I don't see it as being the type of "error" someone would pay more for

Sadly, I agree this is not the kind of 'error' most would want to pay a premium for it. I would choose any non-'error' one over this any day.
