Is there any loss of value or extra value from the lamination error?

Don't laminations usually add value? Or at the minimum add no value? Why would the value decrease?

I'm not sure about the market, but I'd pay less for such coin.
The error isn't appealing, and the look of the coin is less attractive IMO.

Interesting, I thought it would have had no effect on the value. Thanks for correcting me!

Here is my view on this. If you collect lams then it might add a small premium to the value of an ordinary 1915-D nickel. If you collect BN's then one with a lam might lower the value a bit,IMHO. Eye appeal is important also and this one has no eye appeal.
