Up to now my best nickel box produced 4 silver War Nickels. This time I ordered a bunch of boxes and 3 of them contained the same dumps. A lot of coins were severely corroded. The first box produced 18 silver war timers plus some buffalos; the second box produced 15 and the third produced 10. I found my first 1943/2 in the first box.

Nice finds! Are you going to be going back to see if they've got any more boxes like that?

Really odd how they came in separate boxes like that.

I use my USB microscope to take a couple of close-up pictures. Due to the overall low grade, it's hard to see the doubling most of time we want to see.
I am quite sure (not 100%) that it is the 3/2.

Nice find. I recently dug out a big cup of nickels I had from the Casinos in Mississippi. I've had the cup since the early 90s so I was sure there was a war baby in there somewhere, not a one. Bummer!

Really really cool finds. It looks like treasures are still out there. Just need the time and patience to look. Roll hunting can be a lot of fun.
