thq Pillar of the Community United States 3344 Posts	Posted 08/30/2013 11:02 pm I have a similarly scratchy 1795, but I paid more for a strong date. I can't imagine what it takes to get this look, maybe imbedding them in asphalt and driving over them for years... The nice thing about coins like this is being able to stick them in your pocket. As with most 1794's of AG grades, it's reverse is nearly void of any detail. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 08/31/2013 08:05 am S-65 pretty much always comes with a full sharp date even in Fr-2. The dies were not parallel and were closer together in the date area. This meant that area got "hammered" causing the date and protective denticals to be EXTREMELY well struck up and they remain clear until the coin is completely gone. Report this Post to the Staff
