I find that coin to be tremendously appealing. It's one of the few near dateless coins I've ever liked. It just seems to have an intriguing personality. I'd be looking forward to holding that in hand. Nice add
I have a similarly scratchy 1795, but I paid more for a strong date.
I can't imagine what it takes to get this look, maybe imbedding them in asphalt and driving over them for years... The nice thing about coins like this is being able to stick them in your pocket. No chance you could hurt the value.

I did actually p! Picked up an S-65 with full, sharp date, edge inscription, and denticles. I'll post it soon. As with most 1794's of AG grades, it's reverse is nearly void of any detail. It is problem free and had nice eye appeal not to mention, the price was fair.
S-65 pretty much always comes with a full sharp date even in Fr-2. The dies were not parallel and were closer together in the date area. This meant that area got "hammered" causing the date and protective denticals to be EXTREMELY well struck up and they remain clear until the coin is completely gone.
nice buy vermontensium at that price. I'm still looking for mine. I've been looking for a long time to find an AG or G that has decent eye appeal and hasn't been cleaned.
