Hello. Here is my new coin, details looks very nice, maybe AU50, but I think this Barber quarter was cleaned / dipped. Color is blasting silver, but it is very hard to show it at photo. Reverse is lustrous in my opinion, but obverse has luster only near the rim and surface looks slightly polished. Thank you for your answers.

I have this one at a good AU55, but have to agree with you regarding the dip. It's just too "lustrous" for the level of wear. However, this would have to be an in-hand decision - it's tough to get something like this right in any photograph - and it wouldn't surprise me if a TPG slabbed it without a Details grade.

This is a rather tough issue - heavily circulated - and if you got it for US$100 or less you did quite well indeed.

I am very happy with your grade, I thought it is AU50/53 coin. I bought it for 61$ with shipping. Reverse looks very good in-hand, but obverse is much worse in my opinion. There are few minor scratches and, as I said previously, surface looks slightly polished.

Oh, well done at $61, sir!

Barber coinage wears early and hard at the wingtips, and that is the go-to spot for grading them. The wingtips of this coin guarantee (to me) a minimum of AU55, and one must also consider what seems to be a pretty weak strike as evidenced by apparent "flatness" elsewhere on the eagle which doesn't perfectly correlate to known areas of early wear. It's not inconceivable - looking at it a second time - that this is a Mint State coin, which would rather significantly increase the value. The price of admission to a righteously-slabbed 1902-O starts at about $4-500.

Another example of your good eye.
