Condition aside (and the note is worse in that respect than these scans make it look), this is an uninspired, too symetrical design, and the shade of purple ink used on the reverse is positively stomach-churning.

Lucky Cuss, thats a bit rich considering the current U.S. banknotes and the designers and the issuers lack of colouration and imagination. That note looks good to me.

A couple of years ago I used to have a Rp 1000 that was sellotaped twice up-to-down, and half the length. Amazing people still circulate that instead of going into the garbage. Also very smelly, so I don't know if it had not been to the garbage at least once. I spent it at a Wendy's.

I once got a Canadian $20 note that had been ripped in half and then taped back together... from an ATM!! The tape job was quite good, but I thought that an ATM would never take an "altered" note. But a different ATM took that same note back, also without difficulty. You learn something new every day...
