Ironically enough, technically the coin may be a VG/F due to strike. I'm not an expert on those. I'd definitely say VG8 on the conservative side.

Even though I could still make out Liberty in the shield, I also agree with Prethen, its probably VG8. The L in Liberty looks a little worn. Either way, its and excellent find, Congratulations.

It's part of a lot I'm winning - there's also an Essequibo and Demarera coin.. I probably spelt that last one wrong..

Very nice, 11,460,000 struck/minted and you have one of the nice ones.

What the heck is a Stiver? It does look like a cool coin, though.

A right fair buy for a mere £3.86 which is on the order of about $8.20 now, and I concur that the grade is a wee nigher than G ta. Sometimes if you look hard enough, you can get similar examples from the Carson City mint from that year, they are not rare, but an affordable means of owning a coin from a rather narstily elusive mint.

VG-8. It pretty much could have served as the coin in the photo for the series in the ANA Grading Standards (6th edition) for that grade. Nice coin, by the way.

You guys are pretty tough on that poor dime, I think at least VG-10, possibly F-12.

I am always tough on my own coins too - in order to make sure I don't over pay heeh ;) But thanks Treas' I initially guessed an F-10 but then there are a few blemishes. I don't really know this coin much anyway, just know it's a classic.
