Last evening we had a "gully washer" rain storm with about 8 inches falling in two hours. It quite an evening... A short time ago, while sitting on the front steps and checking the erosion damage which had occurred over-night (the dirt which had washed away front the concrete sidewalk) I spied this little penny sized token partially covered by the concrete but not in the concrete. Looks like the sidewalk had been laid/poured over it and the rain water had washed the dirt and the coin out from under it.

Has an eagle on one side and "No Cash Value" on the other there are small letters HH on both the obverse and reverse.

Some of us have to go to dealers to find coins. Others just wait for it to rain. Sheesh.

I have one too. I think it's a very generic token...I think they might have them in a lot of states.

It's a stock arcade token probably from the '80's. These were used by video and pinballs arcades which were too small to get their own designs made up or used until their own were ready.

There are hundreds of different types and varieties. If it's really the size of a penny it would be extremely unusual as most are larger.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Mine is larger. It's a little bit bigger than a quarter. Same design though.

Thanks, I really didn't think it was very rare. Appreciate the input.

Those are the tokens that they use at the Disneyland arcade.

Disneyland huh? I guess that could explain why they're everywhere.

Bonedigger,
You should get out the metal detector or else search the area and see if you can find anything else!

As cladking and arthrene said, they're generic stock tokens, not made for any one particular place. An they weren't just used in America. I acquired one with an identical design, from the guest laundry in a resort on Tahiti, French Polynesia, back in 1983. It cost 100 francs.
