Hi. I recently acquired this coin. I have no idea of it's value. Is it worth just the weight of the gold or is there additional value based on historical value? I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I have no idea. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you. Don't know what "melt value" is. Beyond the gold itself, is the coin in demand? Is there additional collector value?

If I wanted to sell, is there a grade I would apply to the coin? Is there a best place to sell? I know ebay is an option. Is there a better place? Again, I apologize for the questions. Please advise if there is a link I should be looking at instead. Thanks again!

melt value is simply what the gold content is worth. In this condition you would be looking at getting anywhere from the 300-350. You could sell at a local coin shop, pawn shop, some jewelry store even buy for gold value don't count on getting the 350-400 if you sell to a store looking for profit. best thing for you to get the most out of the coin is a personal sale to a collector. there's also several coin selling pages on facebook if you want to try that route
