What's sad, is that someone will probably fall prey to this guy. I've never done a study on whizzed coins, but I think this one qualifies. You can clearly see the buffed areas on the reverse.

What are you guys complaining about? I mean it IS MS-64 Red.  Seller even descibes it as "Near Gem". I think he needs glasses.

It's a near-terminal die pair, especially the reverse, so chances are the grade is closer to reality than first impression might indicate. So instead of being a heavy-cleaned VF, it might_just be a heavily-cleaned AU. So there.

Would we pay any less if it is not acid treated? To me, the color looks slightly patinated from raw salmon pink, rather than an untreated red.
