What is the best way to store and show off your collection? I have been going with the old cardboard sleeve and binder sheet combo and was considering other options.
Cheers,
Jim

Here's my favorite choice, it's what my Lincolns are in: Nice leather 3-ring binder with the clear plastic 2x2 holder pages. Then I preserve and dry the coins with acetone and immediatly place them in airtite holders. Next, I take a half dollar size 2x2 and staple in the airtite (one staple is fine). Finally, put the completed coin into the clear pages.

I keep that whole binder inside a large ziplock bag with a dessicant pack. When I want to show it, I just grab the whole ziplock bag from my safe, pull out the binder and hand it off to whoever wants to see it.

I'm not saying this is the best way, it's just my way. My collection should last almost indefinately like this.

I use albums and binders for easy access. I keep my horde of rolls and mint products in Ziploc bags in containers. I have miscellaneous flips, slabs, boxes, etc. strewn about my desk. Very organized!

I have a lot in the plane blue Whitman folders, and 2x2"s with the Mylar liners. Some I have had 35years with no problem. This used to be the norm for coins and it would cost a fortune to replace. The only real problem I have is the staples in the 2x2's any suggestions?

If you already squeezed the staples flat with a pair of pliers there is little else that can be done unless you want to change them all to the self stick type .

I store all of my collection in airtites and have built trays to fit my safe for each type denomination as well as one for misc,, coins which I do not have enough of to call a collection by themselves .

I do nothing to the coins before putting them in the airtites except blow them off with moisture free compressed air .
