Super looking coin ! Looks to be high AU to me, I think I see rub on the jaw, cheek, temple area - it could just be the color fooling me. If it is an MS coin, it is very clean and should get a 64 . I would say it is worth a premium since it is basically a 50 cent (or less) date any other day, but looking like that ..it might go 1 or 2 bucks. As an MS-65 with that toning On e-bay ...the skies the limit !

I'd pay a buck for it at most.

I've seen some great colors on 57-59 Lincolns, but that's perhaps the best I've seen.
Yours makes my toned 09 seem very low-key. Cool find!

I bid on a roll of these today, 1954-S Bu with beautiful toning, I fell asleep watching football and got out bid. They ended up selling for $45 for the roll. The roll even had RMS's that was up for sale.

Not caring for toned coins I would suggest rubbing it with a baking soda and water solution to get that stuff off.

Looks artificially toned to me. Looks like someone did it with a candle or lighter. The black spot on the upper reverse is the burned area. The bust on the obverse is the opposite edge of the coin. I've heard of people dipping in soap and drying them over a candle and change the color that way. That's my opinion of this coin.
