Need some help here. Please diagnose. Is it a known variety or one off or what? At fist I thought it was pushed metal from a ding but there is no displacement crater. Also, the mm looks to be filled on the top loop as well. There is a hit on the left side of top loop but not big enough to displace so much metal into the loop imo. So what do I have here? Just pocket change or a find? Thanks

Common die chip. THey over used the dies in the 50s.

Yes, these are quite common from the 1950s. Here is one I shot. Also has a "BIE" die chip. Submitted by Steve Conner of TX Feb 2009.

Thanks all, figured die chip but I wanted opinions and such. guess it has minimal value if at all then being a common occurance. Back to CRH hoard she goes
